The council consulted with schools, neighbouring local authorities, church authorities and parents/members of the public before determining admission arrangements for the 2023/24 intake of nursery, reception and Y7 pupils.
An on-line public consultation was undertaken via this website for the required six week period (from 13 December 2021 to 24 January 2022).
No comments or objections were received in respect of the proposed arrangements and subsequently the arrangements have been determined and can be viewed via the links below:
The Local Authority has also formulated primary and secondary admission schemes. These are the procedures for applying for places and the allocation processes for entry to school in the 2023/24 school year.
Academies and Voluntary Aided Schools (Catholic and Church of England) are also required to determine their admission arrangements on an annual basis.
Parents have a right to raise an objection with the Schools Adjudicator if they believe that any determined arrangements are not lawful or do not comply with the mandatory elements of the national School Admissions Code. Full details of how to raise an objection are given on the DFE website.
Objections must be submitted no later than 15 May 2022.
