We have a vacant senior registered managers post for our Children’s Homes in Knowsley, both homes have a judgement from Ofsted as Good. We have a successful service that consists of a three bedroom edge of care service that operates from Friday to Monday and a four bedroom mainstream children’s home.  Knowsley is committed to keeping and improving upon the good rating and in doing so ensuring our children and young people exceed their potential outcomes.
As Registered Manager you will be responsible for the whole service and there will be an expectation that you will successfully register with Ofsted, as a manager. We are proud of our homes in Knowsley and require an innovative manager who can continue to improve services to our children, young people and families.
You must hold a professional social work qualification and either have or be committed to obtain NQV 5. You would have a minimum of 5 years experience of delivering high quality services to children and families in a residential setting, with a minimum of one year at a supervisory level.
You must possess the necessary skills to manage a team of experienced and dedicated staff and have the ability to manage regulated services within the framework of Children homes Standards and Regulations.
This post requires you to have a flexible approach as well as being able to prioritise work loads. Good financial management skills are essential as well as the ability to work effectively with a range of professionals, and especially parents and carers.  You will also be responsible for the supervision and development of staff.
An enhanced DBS is also required for this post.
Applicants will also be required to have a flexible approach and be prepared to work some evenings and weekends to meet the needs of the service.
